How do I download the Ford app and create an account?
You can download the Ford app using the App Store or Google Play. The Ford app is free to use. Create your account using the steps below.
Downloading the Ford App
Download the Ford app via your respective platform.
- iOS® device users refer to the Apple App Store.
- Android™ device users refer to the Google Play Store.
Creating a Ford App Account
Important:
- If you already have a Ford Account, you can log in using your existing account credentials (username and password) on the Ford app.
- If you have a new device or it was lost or stolen, you do not have to create a new account.
- New device: Refer to the Existing Ford App Account and New Device topic for steps on accessing your existing account.
- Lost/stolen device: Refer to the Device Lost topic for restoration steps.
To create an account, use the steps below:
- Open the Ford app on your device.
- Enter your Mobile Number.
- Tap Request Code.
Note: An authentication code will be sent to your device via SMS.
- Enter your code in the Authentication Code field.
- Tap Submit Code.
- Enter the following details:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- A password containing all of the criteria below:
- Eight or more characters
- One special character
- One number
- One upper-case letter
- One lower-case letter
- Tap the box after reading the terms and conditions/privacy policy.
- Select Create Account.
You should be directed to the Ford app and prompted to add a vehicle to your account.
